Minimally Invasive Female Infertility and Gynecologic Surgery
« Back
During investigations for infertility, some patients are found to be candidates for surgery. Common reasons for surgery are presence of fibroids in the uterus, scarring in the cavity of the uterus, scarring involving the fallopian tubes, and endometriosis. Some patients will even be counseled for exploratory surgery as part of their investigations. These surgeries are undertaken to correct problems so that infertility treatment can proceed with optimal opportunity for success. Should a patient require surgery, ISIS physicians will schedule the surgery for these procedures at one of the many hospitals in the region that they are associated with.

Some female patients who are not seeking pregnancy but still have a condition affecting their reproductive organs that requires surgery may seek surgery with

an ISIS physician. Our physicians are highly trained in minimally-invasive surgery with laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to successfully treat conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids and uterine septums among other conditions. Some women who have had prior tubal ligations and now desire reversal of their fallopian tubes so that they may attempt pregnancy again may wish to speak to an ISIS physician. Reversal of fallopian tubes is a complex and delicate surgery in which success is related to the care in which the surgery is performed.
