ISIS Clinical Pregnancy Rate per ET (2007)
Age Group
Clinical Pregnancy Rate for ISIS Embryo Transfers (ETs) in 2007:
Overall rate was 38% per embryo transfer (ET) and slightly higher when >9 eggs were retrieved. 2/3 of ETs involved 2 embryos being transferred (34% incidence of twins). 1/3 of ETs involved 3 (rarely 4) embryos being transferred (15% incidence of multiples, 1 set of triplets). Numbers above bars indicate number of cycles reported. ** CP = existence of Fetal Heart at 6 weeks pregnancy.
ISIS Success Rates IVF versus ICSI (2007)

Clinical Pregnancy (CP) Rate for conventional in vitro fertilization (IVF) versus intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in 2007:
Overall rate was virtually identical (37% IVF, 38% ICSI) and was not improved when >9 eggs were retrieved. Numbers above bars indicate number of cycles reported. ** CP = existence of Fetal Heart at 6 weeks pregnancy.
  Incidence of Additional Embryos Frozen

Incidence of Additional Embryos Frozen:
It is desirable to be able to freeze additional embryos during an IVF/ICSI cycle. However, the stress (on embryos) associated with the freezing process makes it essential to select embryos likely to endure the process and have reasonable potential to establish a pregnancy following storage and thaw. 33% of patients had additional embryos cryopreserved in 2007. The incidence was 51% when patients had at least 10 eggs retrieved. Numbers above bars indicate number of cycles reported.
Clinical Pregnancy Rate for Thaw ETs (June 2006 to January 2008)

Clinical Pregnancy Rate for Thaw Embryo Transfers (ETs):
Overall rate was 24% per ET with single embryos being transferred approximately 20% of the time. Nearly all thaws involved Blastocysts which had been frozen on Day 5 or 6 of fresh cycles. Because of the strict criteria used in selection of embryos for cryopreservation, the success rate is nearly similar for patients <35 and > 35 years of age. Numbers above bars indicate number of cycles reported.
